partkeepr-ng is a rewrite of PartKeepr, used to maintain an electronics laboratory parts inventory. It is installed on Debian, with the original data migrated into the new application. The original partkeepr-ng rewrite by CaptFrito is on GitHub. It’s a Rust-based rewrite of the original that was in PHP, had outdated dependencies and was basically abandoned. In this version that I’ve forked adds better security including API key management for database access outside the application. User management features are tucked under the user menu.

The project is being developed in a modern programming environment, including work on its API. That updated foundation opens possibilities that the older PHP implementation could no longer provide.
